Fleetware

The Fleetware program was originaly designed to read information straight from a Mirosoft Excel spreadsheet and inserts it directly into the phonebook or sim card of a Nokia Phone. The Program interfaces at spreadsheet end using ADO, making am ADODB connection using Microsoft's Jet drivers. At the phone end, it interfaces with Nokia's Connection manager distributed as part of the Nokia SDK 3.0 kit.

Since it started, Fleetware has progressed into an integrate suite of tools designed for receipt and desptach of Nokia handsets for commercial rental businesses. It boasts the following features:

•  High speed parsing of phonebooks in both Microsoft excel spreadsheet format as well as Microsoft Access databases (Further additions possible). Names and numbers can be sent to SIM or Handset via Infra red, serial or USB cable.

•  Phonebook extraction from Handset or SIM directly to Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.

•  “Handset Swap out Wizard”. A guided process extracting all required information from a handset, transferring the phonebook from faulty to new handset automatically. Built in reporting emails data (IMEI, name, number etc) directly to the head office, all complete in four easy guided steps.

•  Ultra fast interface.

•  Ancillary functions including:

•  Clear Handset Phonebook

•  Clear Sim Phonebook

•  Delete all messages in ALL folders.

•  Clear all calendar functions

•  Reset call counters (received, missed and last calls)

•  Online error reporting

•  Log file generation and saving functions.
